Positive Lights, Sidwell Street, Exeter

Caitlin and Faith enjoyed the wheelchair printing art with The Pelican Project at Positive Lights.

Emiko did not enjoy the art but she did enjoy their books!

Making Pizza

Bowling at Ocean Exmouth

I liked bowling. I liked the lights. I like to drive my chair around (there is lots of space.)

It is quiet on weekdays and costs £3 each.

Self Propelling through Princess Hay to the Cafe

I like to self-propel here sometimes because there are lights, and it is undercover.

I like the lights in the ceiling in Primark and some of the shops. I enjoy eating snacks at the cafes. I need to practice waiting for others to finish their drinks.

Weekdays are less busy.

Trip to Otter Nurseries, Ottery St Mary

Great parking and lots of space to drive or self propel independently inside. There is a good café.

Faith: I loved it. I like to go at Christmas time.

The Vue Cinema, Exeter

Parking is ok if you have a blue badge as you can park on the double yellow lines and parking bays on the roads behind the cinema.

There is a lift for the screens inside, but it is quite small. Accessible toilets but no hoists or changing beds.

Most screens have 2 wheelchair bays, screen 1 has a great area to watch from, from the back.

Caitlin: I loved Wicked but it has to be a really good film to enjoy the cinema

Josh: I liked the cinema but the films are too long.

Emiko: I liked eating lunch there, I would go again

Faith: I loved the chairs and the movie

Royal Albert Memorial Museum, Exeter, And The Phoenix Theatre Cafe

Joffin: I liked everything, the giant animals were a little bit scary.

Emiko: It was fantastic

Josh: I liked following the floorplan map

The museum is not so busy in the week, the staff were really helpful, and the lift was fixed!

There is parking behind the museum.

The Phoenix Theatre café is accessible and the people there are all about inclusivity!

Ten Pin Bowling, near Exeter Quay.

Caitlin:  it’s convenient because it’s in Exeter but I prefer Ocean Bowling in Exmouth because there’s more room

Joffin: I enjoyed it but the bowling balls did not feel clean

Caitlin: the front doors were difficult to get through

   Budleigh Salterton Beach

Budleigh Beach has a car park and a wide accessible path all along the seafront.

There are 2 cafés along this path and a fully accessible toilet.

It is a pebble beach which is not accessible to all but there are numerous grass verges to stop on.

The beach can get very busy in the Summer but on weekdays mornings it is quieter.
