Elm Class

This year Elm class have focussed on Sensory diets and achieving the ‘just-right’ state for learning.

Some have participated in sensory circuits, whilst others have explored different sensory diet techniques ranging from laying still on our new vibrating mat to rocking on our wheelchair rocker.

We’ve explored lots of new textures during our messy play and cooking sessions and we even found some new favourite textures and food!

Without a doubt, Elm Class has had an outstanding year.

Wow what a year!

From community visits to sensory diets, Elm Class shenanigans have always brought excitement, laughter, and learning. There was never a dull moment!

We’ve explored Killerton with our families, enjoyed bowling sessions for leisure, we even spotted a few animals along the way! Back in the classroom, some of our pupils achieved new qualifications by completing AQA units, while others developed valuable skills in communication and physiotherapy. We’re so proud of everyone’s progress and hard work!
