Marie Brown

School Nurse

In 1980 I worked as a Dental Nurse in North London but left this position in 1982 to commence Nurse Training at the Nightingale School at St Thomas Hospital London. Nursing across London at hospitals and day nurseries including Chase Farm, Whipps Cross, Barnet General and the North Middlesex.

In 1987 I took a career break to raise four children whilst living in London, Australia and New Zealand.

In 2004 I took up a Teaching Assistant position at Ellen Tinkham Special School before completing the return to practise course at Plymouth University and the RD&E Hospital in 2005.

In 2006 I returned to Ellen Tinkham School as a Nurse whilst also undertaking Respite caring and working part time as a Matron for Guinness Care & Support.

I joined Vranch House in November 2014 and keep up to date with professional development within the Therapy team.
