2022 Ofsted Report

Date added: Wednesday 7th December 2022
Latest updated: Thursday 23rd February 2023

I am very pleased to announce to you all the exciting news that Vranch House School has once again been awarded an 'Outstanding' grading following our recent inspection, making us one of only three schools in the Southwest that have retained their 'Outstanding' grading under the new inspection framework so far. Nationally 80% of schools previously graded as Outstanding were marked down when re-inspected in the last year, making our achievement a marvellous ending to the year for the charity.

We were awarded 'Outstanding' across all five areas that the inspection covers. I am particularly proud that Ofsted recognised the excellent teamwork between our Education and Therapy staff stating in their report that "The curriculum skilfully blends therapy and class-based education to enable pupils to succeed beyond expectations." All of our provisions that the inspectors observed were highly praised including education, hippotherapy and Innowalk sessions.

I am extremely proud of the hard work and dedication of all the staff, and the outstanding attainments of our pupils that have enabled us to achieve this. Vranch House is truly a special place that relies on a staff whose skill set is so far reaching. All staff have an important part to play in making this an outstanding organisation. Thank you also to the parents, Governor's and Trustees who shared their views with the inspectors.

Thank you to all of you for your hard work, dedication and support of the charity, in whatever form it takes!

Kate Moss, Chief Executive.
