Parent's/Carer's Letter July 2017

To the Parents and Carers of Vranch House pupils

Dear Parents and Carers,

As promised, please find attached all the timings for the upcoming Open Week, including Sports Day, and the Achievement Awards and Leavers Assembly.

3rd - 7th July, Open Week - during this week, all Parents and Carers are warmly invited to come in and join the fun, please let your child's class teacher know if you would like to come in so we can anticipate numbers of people present for each activity.

I have indicated at the bottom of the Open Week timetable when each class teacher will be available to meet with Parents and Carers to discuss Annual Reports or have a general catch-up regarding your child's progress.

Wednesday 5th July, Sports Day - we have chosen team names inspired by the Gruffalo story, which most pupils have shared in class this year.  Can you please help your child dress in their team's colours (as indicated on the Sports Day timetable) on the day.  Pupils can dress in uniform or their home clothes at their choice for the rest of the week.  We will try and keep to the timings as indicated on the Sports Day timetable, announcing this year's winning team and handing-out medals to all pupils from 3.15pm.

Wednesday 19th July, Achievement Awards and Leavers Assembly - from 2pm in the School Hall.  At this assembly your child will receive a certificate for their personal achievements this year, as stated in the Annual Reports.  We have put together a little collection of ‘best bits' for each of our Leavers and will be celebrating their successes before wishing them all the best in their new full-time placement for September 2017.  Please bring your own tissues and hankies!

If you have any queries regarding the attached, please do ask your child's class teacher or contact me directly.  I hope to see you all next week for what promises to be a melting pot of fun, creativity and hilarity!

Kind regards

Ian Norton
