School Lunches at Vranch House
At Vranch House, we know that mealtimes are an important part of the school day - not just for nutrition, but for comfort, social interaction and developing independence. Our lunches are designed to be healthy, enjoyable and accessible for every child.
Healthy, Balanced Meals
Our school lunches follow national healthy-eating guidance and are supported by dieticians and our nursing team. We offer:
Our aim is to provide meals that are nutritious, comforting and suitable for a wide range of needs.
Meeting Individual Needs
Many of our pupils have specific dietary, medical or sensory requirements. We work closely with families, our Health & Wellbeing Team, and NHS colleagues to ensure every child receives a meal that is:
This may include modified textures, allergy-aware meals, tube-feeding routines or personalised support at mealtimes.
Support at Lunchtime
Lunchtimes are supported by staff who know each child well. We help children:
- Develop independence where possible
- Use specialist equipment
- Practise communication
- Enjoy social time with peers
- Feel calm, safe and included
For some pupils, lunchtime is also an opportunity to work on therapy goals such as posture, hand skills or communication.
Packed Lunches
Families are welcome to send a packed lunch if they prefer. We ask that packed lunches follow healthy-eating guidance and avoid foods that may pose allergy risks to other children.
