Admissions

Vranch House is a specialist school with provision that meets the needs of pupils with a Physical Disability and Severe Learning Difficulties or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. Pupils may also have:

  • Severe communication impairments
  • Sensory impairments
  • Complex medical needs
  • Life limiting conditions

We are unable to accept pupils who do not have a physical disability.

All of our pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school admits pupils between the ages of 2 and 19 years old.

Although we are an Independent School, Vranch House staff are not able to offer places to families. All pupils are placed by the Devon SEND Operations Team who can be contacted on 01392 380434, or more information about Devon's SEND Local Offer can be found here.

Finding Out More

If you are interested in finding out more about our school, please contact the school reception on 01392 468333. We often have requests for visits, and wherever possible, we will try to accommodate these. We encourage all prospective families to look at other specialist settings to ensure that you have a good understanding of the local offer and can make an informed decision about your preference for your child.

If your child is already in a school but you believe that a transfer to Vranch House might be in their best interests, you should talk to their current class teacher, the Headteacher or the SENDCO in the first instance.

If a child is not yet in school, parents/carers should contact the Devon SEND Operations Team for advice on admissions to special schools.
