Donations

Thank you for all your kind and generous donations:
Children in Need £65+
Wear it Pink £50.94

We still have one more collection day on Monday 16th December, 2013 when everyone is invited to wear a Christmas jumper to school and make a donation in support of the National Young Epilepsy Charity. We also have our School Christmas Lunch on the same day.

E-safety

With grateful thanks to our Chairperson Mrs Julia Tolman-May for alerting us to the very useful e-safety guide which has been produced by Vodafone. We have been able to order a free copy for every family and as Julia noted, whilst the information may not always be relevant for a pupil in this school, it may be very important for other siblings at home. They should be coming home soon, perhaps before or after the holidays. We hope you find them useful and informative. Thank you Julia 

Christmas Plays

Class 2 visited the Barnfield Theatre to watch ‘Jack and the Beanstalk' and everyone had a great time. Sadly Dee wasn't able to go as she has injured her arm and will be off work until the New Year although she was able to help us out by narrating the Christmas play on Monday. Thank you Dee!  I took over as narrator for the second performance of the play as sadly Dee was not feeling well. Thank you everyone for the beautiful flowers and necklace and the very useful vouchers you presented to me. It was so kind of you all. I was adamant I wouldn't cry but attaching it to the Play was a little bit sneaky! I began working at Vranch House just in time to witness the Christmas Play in 2004 and I cried then, just as I cried this year, as they are always very emotional. However, it's not always so emotional when you are working behind the scenes making sure you have the correct Big Mack or the microphone the right way up etc so I didn't cry too much in the years in between  and as ever, the children performed magnificently.
Thank you to everyone for all your hard work! Get well soon Dee! And a special thank you to Gina Mortimer for making the absolutely gorgeous and delicious Good Luck cake.

Party and Carols

Our last celebration of the year will be held on Thursday 19th December as Friday 20th is a training day for staff. The celebrations begin at 10am ending with a presentation at 11.45 to retiring Teaching Assistant Carol Crabtree. You are welcome to join us at anytime If you are coming into the Party and Carols and would like to take your child home with you at the end of the party please inform transport and also let us know as soon as possible. If we do not hear we will assume that your child is staying with us for lunch and the remainder of the school day. Thank you very much! 

The Spring Term begins on Tuesday 7th January, 2014 for pupils as Monday 6th January is a training day.

May I take this opportunity to thank all pupils, staff, parents, students and volunteers for all their hard work throughout this term!

Finally I would like to thank Carol Crabtree for her wonderful work at Vranch House as she retires at the end of term. Carol has worked here for 28 years and everyone will miss her knowledge, skills, patience, kindness and sense of humour. Happy retirement Carol.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND BEST WISHES FOR A SPECTACULAR NEW YEAR 
