Date added: Monday 25th February 2013
Latest updated: Thursday 23rd February 2023

New pupil:
We are pleased to welcome a new pupil in Class 1. William Grant will be visiting school during the next fortnight and will begin with us after the February half-term.

Sign2Sing day:
Wednesday 6th February is the national Sign2Sing day which we have been taking part in since it began three years ago. The children very much enjoy taking part and signing and singing. We have invited families to attend in the past and you are most welcome to come this year if you wish. The afternoon will begin at 2pm in the Hall and refreshments will be available. The actual record breaking attempt will begin simultaneously across the country at 2.45pm.
Sign2Sing have asked children to wear a striped scarf (like Ollie their mascot) and also to contribute a voluntary donation of £1 per child (they raise funds to support SignHealth a registered charity supporting Deaf children and adults). I would stress that this donation is entirely voluntary.

Valentine's Disco:
On Wednesday 13th February we are holding a Valentine's Day disco where children are invited to wear as much pink or red as they like. The rest of the school day will remain the same as usual but we will be holding a disco during the afternoon.

Red Nose Week:
We will be celebrating Red Nose Day on 15th March with a week of celebrations. Further information will be sent out after half term.

Easter bonnet parade and tea party:
On Monday 25th March, 2013 we will be holding our Annual Easter Parade and tea party. We are hoping for good weather so that we can parade around the gardens but will parade indoors if necessary. Everyone welcome!
The procession should begin at 2pm and you are welcome to take your child home with you after the parade and tea. We would ask that you let us know as soon as possible, if you are planning to attend and also whether you intend to take your child home. Could you also please inform transport.

Various Promotions:
Thank you for purchasing items from various book and fundraising catalogues throughout the year. We are able to purchase books for school from the commission we receive through book orders and receive cash back from the Yellow Moon catalogue sales, the latest amount received being £7.47. The school will once again be collecting Sainsburys Active Kids vouchers, the 2013 promotion will be commencing in their stores in the near future.

Board of Governors:
At the close of nominations on the 25th January no nominations had been received for a Parent Member to sit on the Board of Governors. Mrs Michaela Wood the Parent Member for 2012 is willing to continue in the role and she has therefore been re-elected for 2013.
Thank you Michaela.
