I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in November 2001 having studied in Derby. On first qualifying I initially worked in an acute hospital setting, with adult patients. I started working in the field of Paediatric Occupational Therapy when I was offered the job role of Occupational Therapist on the Spinal Disorders Unit at the hospital. Here I began to see paediatric patients. I then worked as a Children's Occupational Therapist in an Independent Special Needs School before working for the NHS again as a Children's Community Occupational Therapist.

I joined Vranch House School in October 2018 having previously worked at Plymouth Child Development Centre. I work full-time and lead the Occupational Therapy team; between us we cover the outpatient service and Vranch House School. I am also involved in delivering the training of ‘High Five' fine motor skills programme to schools across Devon.

I am very much enjoying my role at Vranch House.
