Vranch House is a centre for the treatment of over 2,000 outpatients with physical difficulties, a provider of various therapies throughout Devon and an independent Day School in Exeter for children with significant physical difficulties.

Entered the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1969 and commissioned into the Royal Tank Regiment in 1970.  Regimental service in Germany, Canada and Northern Ireland until 1985 which included appointments as both a Guided Weapons and Gunnery Instructor.  Attended the Army Staff College in 1982 and the Joint Services Defence College at Greenwich in 1987. Staff posts in the Ministry of Defence in Personnel, in the Procurement Executive and a tour as a lecturer at the Army's science university at Shrivenham.  Commanded Oxford University Officers Training Corps and then a staff branch in the MoD responsible for the Army's new tank, Challenger 2, between 1992 and 1993. Retired in 1993 and joined Vranch House initially as the Business Manager.  Research MPhil in aspects of synergy in the design of Armoured Vehicles in 1993.  Established a Management Consultancy business in 1993. Married in 1976 with three children.
