Sophie Johns

(Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist)

I took the scenic route in establishing my career, first studying a degree in communication at the University of East London; on graduating, I began working in the video games industry. Although gaming is one of my many hobbies, it was not for me as a career and I always felt that I wanted to do something which gave back to people.

Fast forward to 2016, I moved to Devon with my partner and began a degree in Speech and Language Therapy, at Plymouth Marjon University. I graduated in 2020 and took my first post as a Paediatric Dysphagia Speech and Language Therapist with Children and Family Health Devon, during my time with CFHD, I developed a real passion for supporting children with eating, drinking, and swallowing difficulties and have specialised in this area. Alongside my role at CFHD, I established a private SLT practice and have also spent time working in Somerset supporting mainstream early years and school aged children with speech, language, and communication needs.

I am so excited to join the Vranch House Family and really look forward to supporting the children here with their communication and feeding needs.
