Parents and Cares of pupils at Vranch House

Dear Parents and Carers,

Re: World Book Day and Pupil Information

As you may remember, we like to celebrate World Book Day here at Vranch House.  On Thursday the 7th of March the staff will once again be dressing up as their favourite characters from well known books, so your children are more than welcome to join in by dressing up as their book-related heroes and heroines.  On the day we will be offering all of our pupils the opportunity to take a book from a kindly-donated selection of children's books and we will also be sending home a young-person fiction book to share with parents, carers and siblings.

I know that our pupils have a diverse range of adults supporting and caring for them at home, many of whom are not one of their birth parents but may still have parental responsibility for them.  Many of our fabulous pupils also have non-family supporting adults taking a significant role in their care and wellbeing outside of school.  In order to help staff at Vranch House know who you are happy for your child to be dropped off and collected by each day, could I please ask Parents and Carers to complete the attached form and return it to me in the envelope provided at your soonest convenience.

As stated at the top of the attached form, all information provided will be stored securely in the school office and will be shared with only those staff with direct responsibility for your child e.g. class teachers or 1:1 support worker.  We will not share this information outside of Vranch House without gaining your expressed permission first.

I also hope to be sending out the annual Parent & Carer Satisfaction survey shortly, so watch out for this in your child's Home-School diary.

I hope you will join us in the festivities on World Book Day and look forward to seeing who our pupil's favorite book characters are!

Dates for your diaries:

Thursday 7th March - World Book Day

Friday 5th April- ABC Assembly, from 1.30pm

Yours faithfully
