News: FLY FISHING CHARITY CHALLENGE 2009 LAST RESULT FUNDRAISERS FINAL - SUNDAY 11 OCTOBER - TEMPLE FISHERY

The last event in the Vranch House Charity Challenge took place on Sunday 11 October - the prestigious Fundraisers Final for the top 24 anglers who have raised the most that year.
The total raised was £11,434, £822 more than last year.
The total raised by anglers since 1992 is now £196,407.
Prizes are too numerous to detail as all competitors received at least one.

Please note it was numbers of fish and not weight of bags that decided who won.

Richard Lister of Penryn - 6 fish for 22lb 7oz 12dr
Individual 2nd Best Bag: Bill Hande of Dawlish - 6 fish for 21lb 8oz
Individual 3rd Best Bag:
Stephen Newman of Plaistow, London - 6 fish for 21lb 6oz 2dr
Individual 4th Best Bag:
Mike Boston of Torquay - 6 fish for 20lb 13oz 4dr
Individual 5th Best Bag:
Mary Ratcliffe of Kenton - 5 fish for 15lb 13oz 6dr
Individual 6th Best Bag: Mark Lamming of Perranporth - 5 fish for 15lb 4oz

Team Best Bag:
Richard Lister of Penryn & Stephen Cook of Redruth - 10 fish for 31lb 13oz
Team 2nd Best Bag:
Bill Hande of Dawlish & Mike Stone of Starcross- 9 fish for 30lb 4oz
Team 3rd Best Bag:
Stephen Newman of Plaistow & John Twine of Liskeard - 8 fish for 33lb 2oz 2dr

Keith Ratcliffe of Kenton - 6lb 4dr
2nd Best Fish : Stephen Newman - 5lb 8oz 4dr

2nd Highest Fundraiser:
John Taylor of Sherbourne - £960 (Now raised £4,792 in 7 years)

Top Fundraising Family since 1993 - The Clarkes of Stoke, Plymouth - £8,271
Peter Clarke Trophy for Biggest Brown Trout:
Mike Phillips of Torquay - 8oz

Sue Gould of Vranch House who organises the Challenge said, “It has been another rewarding year with both loyal supporters and new anglers taking part. On behalf of the children who benefit I would like to say a heartfelt “Thank You!” to the anglers, fisheries and sponsors - especially Airflo.
