I  a mum of 5 and started my career caring for children with additional needs before I had my  children back in 1991 when I was a nanny for a little boy who was autistic. I went on to bring up my children and when I was expecting my youngest I went to work as an Auxiliary on various wards at the RD&E  Hospital completing  a Nursing Axially course to do so.

Nearly 5 years ago I went to work at Ellen Tinkham special needs school in Exeter starting as a MTA then going on to Teaching Assistant twice a week. I also enable 3 children with additional needs in my spare time taking them for days out, Hydrotherapy sessions playing, baking and generally having fun!! I have taken courses in Makaton, Team Teach, Gastrostomy Feeding and many more.  I have worked Vranch House since September and am thoroughly enjoying working with all the amazing children and lovely staff. I look forward to gaining more qualifications and all the challenges working at this wonderful school brings.
