Sally Bunney MCSP

(Lead Community Children's Physiotherapist)

I trained at West Middlesex Hospital, qualifying in 1981. My first general rotation post was at Charing Cross Hospital, London. Following this, I moved onto specialist posts in Respiratory Medicine, Intensive Care and Infectious Diseases at hospitals in Birmingham and Glasgow.

During a 2 year career break, I moved with my husband and young family to Australia.  On returning to the UK in 1991 we settled in Barnstaple, North Devon.  Here I began work for Vranch as a Locum Community Children's Physio, before taking a post at a respite centre for young adults with special needs.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with the children and the dymanic team of Physiotherapists. Therefore, when a post became available in 1994, I was delighted to be given the opportunity to join this team.

At present I work with children aged 0-19 years in a variety of settings - home, school, and outpatients.

In addition, I provide an in-reach service to support babies with neurological concerns on the Special Baby Unit at North Devon District Hospital, and form part of a Therapy Team with the Occupational Therapist and Speech and Language Therapist, to provide assessment for children under 5 within the Specialist Child Assessment Centre.
